All photos below were taken during my search for the True Apso
Nepal
Sopnam Topgyal, the Lama's Secretary along with three of his sisters. From left to right, Sonam, Sanu Mimi (now Sanu Lama)with one of the Lama's bitches, then Dolma Lhamo, in her daily Tibetan dress with Katu, and Thulo Mimi (now Losa Zidatsang). Sonam had another youngest sister, Namgay.
The three youngest ones, Sanu, Losa and Namgay all went to schools thanks to Mrs. Barbara Ratledge and her husband Dr. Eric Ratledge who were kind enough to put them through school. These three women now live in Occident.
Some tibetan refugees with their Apso puppies. The man on the left, I can't remember his name is holding Yangom(F).... the Yangsom Kunde holding Sindhu(M) and Pakpa Jurme with Singha(M) and Raji(F). That was early 1982.
Lisette Aubin, my ex flanked by Pakpa Jurme's wife and Nawang Angmo and her bitch. This one taken in 1983.
Myself again on the steps of the Bobnath Temple... but standing instead of sitting.
Sonam Topgyal, the Lama's Secretary, with Leechee. Soman Topgyal is a person who worked really hard to help both the Lama and myself in doing our best with the little dogs.
He was our translator in all our conversations and maintened our correspondance and also corresponded with a large number of people.... even CKC and Agriculture-Canada.
Without him not much would have been accomplished in this far-away mission without his crucial collaboration. He was like a brother to me... and I've named my first son after him.
Mrs. Anne-Marie Parr, the President of the Nepal Kennel Club in those days. She had confirmed that some of tibetan dogs in the refugees camps were sometimes very nice. (1983)
Here are some picts taken in India. Hindustan as the muslinms say. The word reflects that India is the land of the Hindus. Therefore, it might be preferable to be spell it Hindia? However, the religion of the Hindus calls the Winged-Horse all kinds of names and one of then is Indhu. As I know how is derived the names Shivaism, buddhism, christianism, I can see where Hinduism or Indhuism comes from.... and consequently the right way to write it might just be Industan? So India could be the real way to write it?
Regardless, here are a few picts taken in India, the land of transition to the Occident our little canine travellers to the new holy dogs loving land.... from the hands of poor tibetan people into wealthier ones who live in the world's most dog loving continent... to insure their forever survival...

I think this one is about sincerity. :-)
I just had a long day and relaxing a little since I will have to be sitting behind the wheel of my monster truck in less than 9 hours. What happened in the last week or days has put wings on our salvation vehicle... as well as changing the winds direction! Looks like we'll all be flying soon. 40,000 feet altitude... not too much traffic!Perfect! In other words, with the help and collaboration of friends, we can surely make mountains move... and what is smelling in the air is an example of that. Some really like that picture... in which I'm asking a little puppy, after we had introduced ourselves to each other... if he was willing to come to Canada with me? I've never been to a dog show but I really enjoyed going wild camping or just escort them in nature. Used yto like going on freedom trips with them. Play cows in the field... not with only one... but with many at the time. Different trip... to watch them going tom the discovery of the new world and then.... relaxation! I'm a born traveler and noticed that dogs are happy campers too! Nothing like relaxation... besides being re-energizing, it always brings back good souvenirs!
